The disgraceful counter system that was in storm revolution has also been adjusted, now in only knocks away your opponent instead of stunning them. Which means no more having to choose awakening, drive or ultimate type before a match, you have access to a characters entire repertoire. Also with regards to combat this time around, types are now gone. This is great because for anime fans who have had enough of filler, this game is a must play. The trademark boss battles return in story mode, which brilliantly retells and captures the climax story of the fourth great ninja war. But when finally playing it on my own HD tv, I can honestly say that the graphical improvement is minimal, yet noticeable. Admittedly I ought it looked exactly the same as the last gen from all the footage.
But when finally playing it Game looks gorgeous. But they could still be just like the Ultimate Jutsus from Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3.Game looks gorgeous. ULTIMATE JUTSUS - Don't we all miss those overpowering, long cinematic Ultimate Jutsus? With all the characters this game would have, it wouldn't be likely that the Ultimate Jutsus would look as good as they did in Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm. You should also be able to choose whether or not you use the customized version of a character. CUSTOMIZE - Whatever happened to the feature from Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes (the 1st one) where you could customize your favorite characters stats? That should be brought back in this game, but instead, it should be more like Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3 where you can level up the characters. So that would leave the d-pad open for a new command, possibly items or the ability to switch the jutsu that is used when pressing triangle + circle. FIGHTING - The fighting style would be the same as it was in Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 except now instead of using the circle and the d-pad the execute combos, you could now use circle and the Vita's analogs to execute combos since the Vita's analogs are way better than the PSP's.These combos are so easy to execute, so in order to prevent someone from tossing you into another section of the map in the very begging of the match, you would only be able to hit them into another section of the map when their health reaches a certain point. Those of you that are familiar with the Naruto games know what combos I'm talking about. OR you're simple fighting in Konoha, and you use your jutsu to send your opponent flying through a wooden fence into an other area of the map. Or you're fighting in an open area outside, and you're executing a combo that ends with pounding your opponent on the ground, next thing you know, you just pounded your opponent through the ground and you two have ended up below in Orochimaru's layer. But who said that couldn't be accommodated for? How would you like maps that consist of multiple sections? For example, you're executing a combo that ends with a powerful uppercut, you send your opponent flying through the ceiling, and you two are now fighting on the roof.
Unfortunately, by giving this game the style of movement I listed above, that feature would again be sacrificed. MAPS - Unlike the other Naruto Ultimate Ninja games, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 1, 2, and 3 does not give you the feature of having the ability to jump onto things to get to a higher position. This would be new and fun to the Ultimate Ninja series.
To me the Vita is like a PSP/PS3 hybrid, so why not give this game the good old hybrid of side scrolling and free movement. You'd still be able to do the chakra dash that you could do in Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3, which is just a quick strait dash to the opponent. That's my example of how just the movement (walking and running) would be.
